Water, wonder and art
The biggest sport event in the history of Hungary, the 17th FINA World Championship will welcome nearly 2,500 sportsmen and 350,000 visitors with an extraordinary, monumental show.

Headliner: CeeLo Green

On 14th July, at the Pest side of the Széchenyi Chain Bridge, four 80x10-metre barges make up the imposing, floating stage. Starting at 9 p.m., four thematic acts will bring to life water’s relationship to life, culture, sports and the future. Also, the audience will be dazzled by 510 world famous Hungarian artists, including Péter Eötvös, Ágnes Herczku and Gergely Bogányi.

Members of the public may follow and enjoy the opening ceremony on the spot, from the Fan Zones, on seven giant screens at the locations marked on the map and on Duna, DunaWorld and M4Sport channels.

What and where

  • Projectors

    Nobody will miss the fascinating opening ceremony. Spectators can follow the show live on seven giant displays around the stage and all over the city.

  • Audience

    Beside the Buda and Pest Quay, the Elizabeth Bridge will also be transformed into a giant stand. Roadbloacks will ensure visitors’ comfort and safety as they ,enjoy an unsurpassed view of the show.

  • Stage

    At the Pest sider of the Chain Bridge, four 80x10-metre barges, weighing 1600 tonnes, will make up the monumental, floating stage.

  • Fireworks

    During the show, from the launch points on the Danube and the Chain Bridge, a breathtaking lightshow will be drawn across the sky, perfect for admiring from the designated places.
